In the volatile world of cryptocurrency, a persistent and costly issue has plagued investors and enthusiasts alike: seed phrase mismanagement, leading to over $200 billion in losses. This staggering figure highlights a critical vulnerability in the digital asset ecosystem, where traditional methods of seed phrase storage, such as pen-and-paper or digital password managers, have fallen short in providing the necessary security.

Enter Censo, a potentially groundbreaking seed phrase management protocol leveraging zero-knowledge authentication and strong encryption to address this pervasive problem. With its innovative approach, Censo aims to revolutionize the way users secure their crypto assets, promising an end to the era of significant losses due to seed phrase mismanagement.

“Censo was born out of necessity. We’ve witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of seed phrase mismanagement on individuals and the broader crypto community. Our mission is to empower users with a tool that ensures their digital assets are secure, yet easily accessible to them and them alone,” said Andrew Lawrence, CEO and co-founder of Censo. “By harnessing the power of zero-knowledge authentication and encryption, we’re not just solving a problem—we’re setting a new standard for digital asset security.”

Release of Censo’s Seed Phrase Manager and SDK

Delivering on their vision of a more a secure and usable cryptocurrency ecosystem, Censo has released its first offering a Seed Phrase Manager after a successful closed beta. The Seed Phrase Manager which is free-to-use, fully audited and open source is already available for download from Censo’s website for both iOS and Android.

The application allows users to securely store, manage and access their seed phrases. Built to be highly secure and easy to use it incorporates multiple levels of protection including hardware security elements, time locks, and biometrics. Further, Censo allows users to add Trusted Approvers an additional layer of security where users can add the people they trust to help protect their seed phrase no matter their level of crypto experience.
